Christmas Holidays -  January 2006

In early January we went off on our annual camping holiday.  We spent a few days at out top secret camping spot, which is so secret that we are not able to tell you where it is...  Daddy blindfolds all of us as we drive in, so that even we don't know where it is ...

It rained and rained, which was surprising seeing we had been living through a drought for several years.  We could probably make a good living out of being drought breakers!  One night we had 120 mm (5 inches) of rain...

We camped with our friends Finn, Leo and Eva, and also Tom and Greta.

Here's a picture of us under the tarp trying to keep dry!

At least the rain raised the water level of  the river, so that rafting was great.
Here's Michael and Tom.

Michael and Tom again...
We attached all the air-beds together to make a big long convoy, with Gabriel in the lead!
Mummy did a lot of sketching at the river.  Here she is "en plein air"...

We then spent a week camping at Arkoon at South West Rocks.  Here's us with Finn splashing in the sea!
And here's us showering after our evening swim, just before our barbecue.
It was a magic evening watching the sun set over the sea - and then the rain came, right on cue...
