Camping at Washpool National Park

In the September school holidays the family went camping in Washpool National Park, near the Queensland border. We'd not been there before - it was purely an exploratory trip.  We met up with Gill, Liam and Ellen, who came down from Brisbane.  The weather was unseasonably hot, so we weren't allowed to light fires which was a real downer.

For something to do the boys decided to sling the hammock between 2 trees about 3 metres above the ground. A great source of amusement for all, and fortunately no serious injuries.

Philip insists on remaining clean shaving even when in the bush. Genevieve captured him in full flight...We left Washpool a bit early, mainly because it was not much fun camping without a fire.  We spent a night in  luxury in a beachfront cabin at Nambucca Heads.
